How much does HubSpot cost in 2026? Tiers, add-ons, and the hidden costs
HubSpot seems cheap when you look at the free tools, and expensive once you see the Enterprise prices. The truth lies somewhere in between. What you actually pay depends on which Hubs you choose, which tier, how many marketing contacts you have, and which add-ons are included. In this article, we list the prices and highlight the costs people only discover after signing the contract.
The structure: Hubs, tiers and contacts
HubSpot doesn't have a single price. It's a matrix. First, you choose one or more Hubs: Marketing, Sales, Service, Content, and Operations. Within that, you select a tier: Free, Starter, Professional, or Enterprise. Additionally, with Marketing Hub, you pay per block of marketing contacts.
These three axes together determine your bill. A sales team of three running only Sales Hub Starter will be at a few hundred euros per year. A marketing organization on Marketing Hub Professional with 10,000 contacts and Sales Pro added, quickly reaches €15,000 to €25,000 per year. Same product, totally different price.
Indicative prices per tier (2026)
Prices change and HubSpot charges in dollars with annual contracts, so consider this as guidance, not a quote:
- Free. CRM, forms, basic email, limited reporting. Truly free, with HubSpot branding and low limits.
- Starter (all Hubs combined from ~€20 per month). Branding removed, higher limits, simple automation. Great for small teams just starting out.
- Professional. This is where the big leap is. Marketing Hub Pro starts around €800 per month, Sales and Service Pro around €90 per user per month. This is the tier that includes automation, workflows, and serious reporting.
- Enterprise. Marketing Hub Enterprise from approximately €3,300 per month. For large teams with advanced permissions, custom objects, and strict governance.
The leap from Starter to Professional is the most important decision. It offers the most functionality, but also the biggest price jump.
The costs not listed on the pricing page
This is where budgets derail. Pay attention to:
- Marketing contacts. With Marketing Hub, you pay per block of contacts. Your list grows, your bill grows with it. If you don't clean up your list, you'll pay for inactive contacts.
- The mandatory onboarding fee. For Professional and Enterprise, HubSpot charges a one-time onboarding fee (easily €2,500 to €6,000), unless you sign up through a partner.
- Implementation and setup. HubSpot out of the box is empty. Someone needs to set up the data model, pipelines, workflows, and templates. Expect an implementation process.
- Add-ons. Extra sales seats, dedicated IP, transactions, API limits. Small amounts that add up.
The license often accounts for only half of the first-year costs. The other half is setup and onboarding.
How to keep your bill under control
A few things really save money:
- Start with the tier you need *now*, not what you might use in two years. You can always upgrade.
- Keep your marketing contact list clean. Archiving inactive contacts saves money immediately.
- Sign up through a partner. They can often waive the onboarding fee and set it up correctly right away.
- Utilize what you pay for. Many teams buy Professional and only use 20% of it. In that case, you're paying Pro prices for Starter usage.
Frequently asked questions
Is the free version of HubSpot truly free?
Yes. The free CRM, forms, email tracking, and basic reporting cost nothing and remain free, without a trial period. You are, however, tied to HubSpot branding and low limits. For a starting team, it's a serious way to begin with a CRM without a budget.
Why is the leap from Starter to Professional so significant?
Because almost all automation, workflows, lead scoring, and advanced reporting are only available in Professional. Starter is deliberately kept simple. For many companies, Pro is the first tier that truly adds value, but the price jumps from tens to hundreds of euros per month.
What does the mandatory onboarding cost?
For Professional, expect approximately €2,500 to €3,000 one-time, higher for Enterprise. If you sign up through an accredited partner, this fee usually lapses, and you practically get the setup included. This often makes the partner route cheaper than going directly through HubSpot.
Do I have to pay per user?
With Sales Hub and Service Hub, you pay per seat (user with sales or service rights). Marketing Hub does not charge per user but per marketing contact. People who only view or work in the CRM without a paid seat incur no extra costs.
Can I cancel or downgrade HubSpot?
You can downgrade, but you will lose access to features of the higher tier and sometimes to data dependent on it. Contracts usually run annually. Read the terms regarding notice period and data export carefully before signing, so you don't get stuck.
Is HubSpot more expensive than the competition?
Often yes, in terms of license price, especially compared to Pipedrive. But HubSpot delivers everything in one platform, which saves on separate tools and integration work. Whether it turns out to be more expensive depends on how much you actually use. If you utilize it broadly, it's competitive; if you use only a fraction, you pay too much.
