Having a Shopify store built by Sharp Creations costs from €2,950 excl. VAT. For that we set up your store completely: a theme on your brand, products and collections, iDEAL and other payment methods, shipping rules, customer emails and the basics for SEO. Shopify itself charges a monthly subscription, which you pay directly to Shopify. We are based in Julianadorp (North Holland, the Netherlands) and build for online stores across the country.

Theme or custom?
A Shopify store runs on a theme. You can take an existing theme from the Shopify Theme Store and adapt it to your brand, or we build custom sections in Liquid, Shopify’s template language. With sections you then assemble pages yourself in the editor. For most stores a well-chosen theme with a few custom sections gives the best balance of price and result.
Apps: useful, in moderation
There is an app for almost everything: reviews, filters, subscriptions, upsells. Many apps cost a monthly fee and every app can slow your store down. We only install what you actually use and prefer to build small features into the theme.
Payment providers
With Shopify Payments you accept iDEAL, credit cards, Apple Pay and more without a separate provider. If you choose another payment provider, Shopify charges extra transaction fees on top of the provider’s. Which is cheaper depends on your turnover and payment methods.
Linking accounting and stock
There are apps that pass orders to Moneybird, Exact Online or e-Boekhouden, and sync stock with your till or warehouse. If a standard app does not fit your process, we build an integration through the Shopify API. Selling through HubSpot? Read connecting HubSpot and Shopify.
The checkout
Shopify’s checkout is fast and trusted, but only partly customisable on the regular plans. More freedom in the checkout calls for Shopify Plus, or a custom online store.

Choosing
When Shopify, and when not?
Shopify fits if you want to sell professionally fast, have no appetite for hosting and updates, want to grow without technical worries, or also sell in a physical shop (Shopify POS) and through channels such as Google and Instagram.
Choose something else if you publish a lot and already run WordPress (then WooCommerce often fits better), if you need B2B pricing per customer, a configurator or a different checkout (then a custom online store), or if you do not want a monthly subscription.

What does Shopify cost per month?

Can I move my store to Shopify?
Yes, for example from WooCommerce or Lightspeed. We bring over products and customer data where possible, and set up a 301 redirect for every old URL.
Does iDEAL work in a Shopify store?
Yes. With Shopify Payments you accept iDEAL without a separate provider. You can choose another provider, but then Shopify charges extra transaction fees.
Can I edit products and pages in Shopify myself?
Yes. You manage products, collections, prices and pages yourself in Shopify. With sections you assemble pages without code.
Is Shopify good for SEO?
The basics are good: fast hosting, clean sitemaps and your own titles per page. A few things are fixed, such as /products/ and /collections/ in your URLs. We take care of titles, descriptions, structured data and redirects.
Do you connect Shopify to HubSpot or my accounting?
Yes. With a standard app where it works well, or with a custom integration through the Shopify API if your process calls for it.
